Intravenous fluids are commonly used in patient care during hospitalisation. This online learning course will cover electrolytes and body fluids, and the foundational principles of electrolyte and fluid replacement.
Topics include: sodium, calcium, potassium, phosphate and magnesium electrolyte management and dose calculations, interpretating associated laboratory results, maintenance hydration and fluid resuscitation, administration and compatibility.
Self-guided case study sessions provide opportunity to apply learnings to real-world case examples.
